Second, none other that Bill Clinton has called GW "existential." I found that just by scanning the first page of Google results. I also found several references to Gore using that label but no direct quotes. Not worth looking further but I would not be surprised if he said it.<<

Yes, those who foment fear about the Muslim Threat do believe that the existence of Western Culture, and more specifically the form that culture takes here in the US, is at stake. They can't abide the notion of a world without it, I guess, so for them that's existential.

I am forced to agree that some have called the global warming threat "existential". I hadn't known that. I guess we'll find out in a few hundred years.
