The top 1% paid 39.38% of federal income taxes.

Which means they pretty much paid a share of the income taxes roughly equal to their share of the wealth.

Well that's not exactly a confirmation, because I thought they paid a bit more, but a roughly equal amount will easily do.

Even if they didn't that doesn't mean they pay an amount that is unfairly too low, because the percentage of income taxes that they pay is well above their percentage of income taxes.


oh, and the reason you don't care is b/c you care waaaaay to much about yourself and waaaaay to little about the people getting getting shafting.


1 - I am not very wealthy, nor do I have a top 1% (or even top 20%) income.

2 - The people getting the shaft here are those with high incomes. Well not just them, people are over taxed all around in the US, but they get the shaft to a greater degree.
