In Boone NC I have a collection of confederate and union money. I had relatives who fought in the war on both sides. They are mostly paper and on acid free backing and framed.

I have a Shilling too that has some family name on it.

The Civil War has always interested me as my grandmother used to tell the story of Uncle Charlie whose brother went out to the battlefield to find him when his horse came back without him. He found him minus and arm and brought him back to camp for treatment.

The childhood stories that are so interesting ...another
interest that is borne from listening to tales... I have read as many books on the CW are I can. Andersonville was the
saddest.. imo.
