>>I'm curious why there have been no responses to Tim's post about the realities in Cuba.

Anyone here still believe that Fidel or Che were good guys?<<

Oyster -

Did anyone here ever say Fidel or Che were good guys? I don't remember ever seeing that.

As for me, I didn't respond to that article because it was old news to me. I can't speak for them, but I'd suspect that most of the people who post here would have felt the same way.

Oyster, I must admit - Tim's post was too long for me. As for Cuba - I have long argued with my Canadian friends that they are not doing the lord's work when they take advantage of cheap beaches and cigars. On top of that - many say how there is no abject poverty as in other latin countries.

Try that discussion some time with a Canadian winter vacationer in Cuba. They always throw back China and other such countries with which we deal regularly.

I would ask if it was so good why did not they not hold a vote?

I'm interested in your use of "still." Seems to me that hardly anyone ever thought they were "good guys." I don't think I've ever known anyone who thought so. But if one once thought that, what might have provoked the change of mind you seem to be looking for?

Oyster;

Anyone here still believe that Fidel or Che were good guys?

We have problems enough picking "good guys" to lead America - what puzzles me is why anyone thinks we have the right or obligation to worry about other countries leaders - unless they are a threat to us. Are you afraid "Fidel or che" will invade us?
