Perhaps the pastor has not endorsed Obama - but by belonging - has Barack endorsed the pastor?

The short answer is a definite no. In my church going days, I attended and was a member in more than one congregation in which I did not support some of the social views of the pastor. I suspect that's more often the case than not.

But there is a different question, whether the attacks on Obama include that argument and whether an Obama response is not successful. Won't know until we get there.

Only the Reps can do that because they have already thrown the black vote over the side.

Bob -

Obama has outlined the areas where he disagrees with his pastor. He has made no bones about publicly disagreeing with him. Thus, I don't see how his membership in the congregation can be construed as being an endorsement of all of the pastor's views.
