Bush isn't running. And the apt comparison is McCain.....and there is really no comparison between those two...McCain is an obviously superior choice.... I think also that the events of 9/11 have changed the equation as well and raised the bar higher in terms of what we need to consider....Unfortunately, given the way the system works, its unlikely to attract the kind of people we need in the top position and we will continue to be stuck with the likes of Nader, Clinton, Obama and yes....even McCain.... who is definitely not my first choice. It would be nice to vote FOR someone for a change instead of picking the lesser of evils....I doubt it is going to happen in my remaining lifetime however. J.
