Name That Party: Obama edition

By donsurber on Name that party

Chicago newspaperman blogs about Rezko without using the O-word.

OK, it is an opinion. It is only 247 words. And Dave McKinney of the Chicago Sun-Times covers Springfield, not Washington.

Still, in previewing the upcoming corruption trial of Tony Rezko, couldn’t McKinney spare a few pixels for the words “Barack Obama”?

Obama — not Democratic Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich — is why the international press (and maybe even the national press) is covering this trial.

It is McKinney’s opinion, not a straight news story so he is under no obligation to name Obama or even identify anyone’s party.

But I would have.
