Suma; Well you could be right - as I sure don't know what the future brings. If we see an extended bear market - which we surely could - that is going to give people entirely different eyes to see the SS program. I dislike government funding of anything - but at least SS pays its way. I find that acceptable because then at least the people can make the proper decision. They can vote to dismantle SS if they want, but boy that has not been the case so far. .........It is the giveaway programs passed in the dead of night that favor special interest that are bankrupting America. That spending the people don't get to vote on and they seldom benefit from them. steve
