Although I view universal healthcare as a human right and a matter of fundamental decency, I come from the self-reliant school of thought that holds individuals responsible for their actions.

So how do you reconcile those two disparate notions?

Hi Rarebird:

I had a list of books that listeners to PBS sent in when asked what books would you like the next President to take to the White House. One of them was Atlas Shrugged. That story represents to me your latest post.

Some of the others are:

Christmas Carol.. Dickens

A People's History of the U.S.

Collapse by Diamond.

The Shock Doctrine..

The March of Folly.. by one of my favorite authors ..Tuckman..

Three Cups of Tea

The Clash of Civilizations

Command of Office.

The Age of American Unreason by Jacoby

I didn't get the author's name for all of them but
essentially one can always find the book by the Title.

Hope that John views this post as he is an avid reader...
