Adios, amigo. I know this is a Valence thread. That is why I have recently been discussing the demand for lithium-ion batteries and the acceptance, safety characteristics, etc. of this technology. Previously, such batteries were deemed a fire hazard and therefore unacceptable in as regulated an environment as an American vehicle. If this were to somehow change and lithium ion batteries could be made to be safe, it could potentially be a game changer and might even threaten Valence's business model for lithium phosphate batteries.

I drive an electric car (Chrysler Gem) with sealed lead acid batteries and am keenly aware of the difference that new battery technologies can make to the performance of a vehicle.

I really should not be having to tell you all this and you probably do not want to hear it anyway.

If all you really want is "Rah Rah Go Valence!" and prefer to overlook any potential competitive threats then I'm truly on the wrong thread anyway. So adios for now and good luck!

Sam
