It is the obligation of government to preserve human life, not necessarily to enhance it.

And for adding that qualification.

And yes, you are being extremely illogical.

If you wish to present that POV, provide examples rather than just tossing out vague insults.

Now, back to the main point.

If the government should get out of the retirement business but treat the grasshoppers as poverty clients, then why not treat medical care clients the same way. Why would the government provide medical care for all of us rather than just those who were too poor for insurance? What is different about medical care? Which you may recall was the original question.
