Isn't average life expectancy around 72 for a male and perhaps 77 for a female these days? If so, we are talking over 20k per year even with medicare per couple if I am looking at this correctly. Seems high, but perhaps the numbers are skewed by the very old that use doctors much more often. I see that in my family with elders in their late 80's...

It's funny that we have become so spoiled that we think we're entitled to maintain our standard of living when we stop working. Sheesh!
