DJ CORRECT: US Stocks End Higher, Not Lower, On Consumer Stks

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--U.S. stocks finished higher on Wednesday as signs of strength lifted some consumer stocks, including Smithfield Foods and BJ's Wholesale, while a capital raise for the second-largest bond insurer disappointed investors and weighed on financials and insurers, including American International Group.

DOW - futures showing a decent drop-SP were down about 14 not long ago, but there's some very sudden pressure the last few minutes pushing them up. No surprise. Won't hold though. Sellers want out.

Lower highs and lower lows making for some weak times coming.
Took a few hours more than expected to get here
