"I think that part of the problem for Obama in the past couple of weeks is that the press stopped giving him a pass.".

I would say that is only partially true. They quit giving her a pass because he made it impossible for them to do it. We have the Canadian NAFTA fiasco (incidentally his pandering on that during the debate was nauseating - as was Hillary - both showed either they are totally dishonest or stupid re Canada - labor and environmental issues - dah - they would lecture us). Throw in Michelle's comments and you have the wheels starting to come off under pressure.

Once again, the Democrats may find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I must confess to that sinking feeling this evening. But I keep telling myself there are more chapters to be written. And then take another sip of wine to help me sleep.

Generally, nasty political attacks are timed for the last minute before a vote. It's timed specifically at the last minute for the purpose of impacting a vote before a candidate can respond.

The GOP are masters at these tricks and they won't give Obama a pass.

I do think that Hillary's appearance and performance on SNL helped her immensely. She came across as a very likable gal.

If Obama wants to become Pres he'd better learn how to quickly field hostile attacks that will be spiraling toward him from many directions. As the President, he'll have a short honeymoon with the press as most other President's have enjoyed but when the shoe drops...............it'll appear like it's full of boulders!
