Hi rs, you posted a Gary North piece on CD's thread, on it there is a link to this other one from 18feb - garynorth.com

... which is showing a side of Fed actions that people don't talk about much, or maybe not know about, how they can be pulling money out of the market at the same time as they're 'stimulating' by dropping interest rates ... and the logic North uses i've heard before - that treasuries are easy to sell because they're still seen as 'safe haven', this makes it easy for the Fed to lower rates, as the market is already basically doing it for them ... this only works up to a point, of course

But they have more than rates to work with, they can pull out great gobs of money in ways most people are not aware of ... another poster who has commented on this is russwinter, but in which post[s] i don't recall - wallstreetexaminer.com

Anyway, i wonder if they've been doing this over the last few days, such a move would really help tank metals and commodities, which would make it look like their management of affairs was working, for as long as it lasts

[edit] - excellent comparison in this post between epm.to and cll.to, lol ... i've been thinking of buying the latter again, believe it or not ... very comparable for all that they're in different sectors, both have excellent prospective cashflow numbers that just keep getting nearer and nearer, with no notable problems, and their shareprices just keep tanking
