i know you're kidding me. i don't write books... only
letters and checks. the checks are always more in demand
than the letters.

You remember what started all this, don't you? My objection
to revisionism,...


no, i don't remember, but i don't agree either. much of
the history i was taught in grade school had to be revised,
because it was written from a biased point of view with
a lot of errors and omissions... fiction masquerading
as non-fiction.

Have a friend who decided to write-----he was 'normal' before he published his first book, fiction.

He had to buy a certain number from the publisher.

He then wanted to sell his books to all of his friends. Of course his friends felt obligated to buy.

Many state Universities have presses and will publish books by natives of the state or graduates of the University. The books then become included in their catalog and usually on line.

Just the mention of Mark Twain may open doors to a press that specializes in books referencing Twain.
