Obama has a REAL problem on the foreign policy stuff.

You get the feeling from his comments about Iran's nuclear ambitions and Pakistan's reluctance to deal with the terrorist issue that he WANTS to sound 'tough'. He seems to imagine himself to be "Kennedyesque" and that's why he throws out the 'hardline' stuff every once in a while.

BUT, his handlers and MOST of his backers are very anti-war and anti-foreign involvement so he has to try and lean to the 'peace and diplomacy' side as much as possible. Powers probably could have survived the "Hillary is a Monster" comment, but her stuff about "We don't know if we can pull out of Iraq immediately" is what made her a 'liabilty' to the campaign.

We don't know what kind of President Obama would be because we don't really know WHAT he thinks about things. What we DO know is that he DOES think, which certainly puts him several notches above Bush.

Bush has set such a LOW standard that ANY of the 3 candidates would be a Tremendous improvement.
