Hello, K. I don't wish to get into a detailed analysis of Edwards' practice. My own understanding was that it was more on work related injuries than you recall. But I'm not interested in digging around in it.

I only used him as an illustration and should have made that clearer.

I'm not defending all trial lawyers but I am defending the concept of litigators who will defend patients harmed by the system and their payment is some portion of the awarded damages. I'm not averse to regulations of it; but the free market types amongst us are usually so.

Also Edwards lawsuits, and those of others like him create a greater incentive to have caesareans, which probably causes more health complications not less (and obviously adds to costs as well.
