That's funny. I was just about to pop off a happy birthday e-mail post to him. It would have included something about the changeableness (don't you like that word) of the weather. The old quip if you don't like it just wait till later today.

He and I are making some of the same option plays, largely buying puts on the SPY and/or the QQQQ. We've done fairly well but I'm into the QID which is a short version of the Q's. Have some calls. They just popped from $3 to $3.70 in the space of about thirty minutes. Given the number of contracts, it's actually a bit of money.

So I was just about to compare the vagaries of the option market with the weather. And along comes your post. I'm not even going to bring up the great minds quote.
