He's forced to fork over money to the government that in reality spends that money on other things. Well if you are saying they don't mark a bunch of $ bills "Use these particular $'s ONLY for Social Security Payments for John Doe" then I suppose you are right. Even when it does get spent on benefits it gets spent on other people's benefits, and then other people's money get spent on him. Yep, it's not the exact same dollar bills. He may think "he is paying this for that", but he isn't. Sure he is.
