The whole thing reminds me a lot of Mondale in 1984. The wise old party head poo-poo's the upstart and wants the party to go with what they know, even if that candidate actually possesses serious vulnerabilities and high negatives based on their past.

Sometimes past is prologue.

<<<I suspect that after George Bush the swing voters are sick of ends justify the means politicians, sick of politicians willing to demonize those who reasonably oppose their goals and sick and tired of politicians whose personal ambitions are the driving forces behind their quests for office.....and sick of Hillary Clinton>>>

Yeah. They will want someone who does not want to become President. They will want someonee that will make nice. Maybe like Ronald Reagan who will make sunny speeches and then take away school lunch programs. They will want someone that does not like to handle the details. McCain is a gentleman and he will control the 527 swift boat groups.

Get off it, Ed.

Wake up and smell reality!!!!

As Sean Connery said to that Elliott Ness charcter, when they come after you with their fists, hit them back with a hammer. When they come after you with a knife, go back to them with a gun.

Go get them. Go girl. <GGGG>
