I "hear" what you type to me. You typed the "egalitarianism" comment to me. I don't read your other posts on other threads. And don't read all the posts on this thread carefully. I skim. Sometimes, barely so.

Whatever medicare has been in the past in terms of not permitting supplemental insurance, and I certainly don't know that history, it ain't a problem now.

Moreover, if there were to be sufficient wherewithal to start generalizing the model to the general population, we will have a generous menu of options. The think tanks will be full of proposals; congress will be full of such; etc.

I don't see a cap on health insurance in any proposed legislation.
