The dramatic looking line is the nominal price, but the important line is the one that says "adjusted for inflation". Then I'll ask you the same questions Hugh didn't answer... the question isn't really where we are, it's where we are going. Can you recognize a trend? Do you understand the difference between a short term embargo and a permanent shift in the supply/demand equation? Do you understand the transfer of wealth out of the country as a result of $100 oil?
