Trail lawyers have used junk science and out and out extortion to get rich. The abuse of the asbestos issue is a prime example. The fact that the public rejected Edwards is one good thing to come out of the primary system this cycle. The cost of trial lawyers is something that must also be figured into the equation.

I understand that is your belief system. Fine.

And I don't doubt that some do it. I'm arguing that (a) the concept of lawyers who will assist patients damaged by the healthcare system to recover some damages is a good concept; and (b) I'm not opposed to regulations of some sort.

One can easily draw the conclusion from your post that businesses and such should have legal representation in such cases but not patients. That would be trial lawyers. Not the kind of world I wish to live in.

If you can make a case rather than state your belief system, I would love to hear it and discuss it with you. I suspect, but don't know, that we would be discussing abuse of the system rather than the system itself.
