I do think their system makes more sense than ours, overall, and by a wide margin.

My main concern about the Canadian system is the lack of availability and consequential queues. Every system rations in some way. That's their way. I don't agree with their choice.

The other problem isn't so much the Canadian system but how it might play out here. There are just too few taxpayers to support it. When you have minority, and a smallish minority, at that, paying and the majority, who are also voters, getting free care, benefits are going to escalate which means that the costs escalate. And there's no way to get out of it because the majority of voters won't vote down the free lunch.
