The standard practice is to report 1, 3, 5 and 10 year results.

If by a quirk, someone's 2, 4 and 6 year results are significantly better than his 1, 3 and 5, is it OK in your opinion to publish the 2, 4 and 6 year results but ignore the 1, 3 and 5???

Unless you can be certain the timing model hasn't changed over the last 20 years, the 20 year performance would be of limited value going forward. I would expect it have been modified and updated a number of times.
