Was it the Carlyle Group that wanted to buy 85% of XCMG - a No. 1 Construction Equipment Maker in China for $ 400 million a year or two ago? Good thing that didn't go thru. That could have been a fire sale. These guys are like sharks. I don't know why Beijing people would associate with them. They could do much better by selling shares to all Chinese.
