As Noonan noted, the media will forget by the summer that McCain genuflected to Bush in March.

But it will be nice footage for Democratic commercials. If I were them I would run it in every swing state I could in October, many times.

Hillary and Barack wil be in the headlines from now until the nominations. It will be bitter. They will be debating the war, the economy, health care, etc and throwing mud at each other.

But, at the end of all this, they will patch things up and the loser will support the winner.

Meanwhile McCain will be play softball with Tim Russert and Chris Mathews. Nobody will be watching.
