Thanks for the response. I would rather that the government did not seem intent on destroying the United States economy, but since it appears to be doing just that, I want to protect myself and maybe more.

I don't really like bear market funds. They are intrinsically self-liquidating in the long run. So if there should be a drop that takes the equity averages down another 10-15%, I will start transferring those assets into commodities (not directly into futures, but into ETFs and mutual funds).
