It takes longer than 7 years to even get started on building a nuclear plant in the US.

Interesting....in seven years, how many nuclear plants have been put under construction?

It takes some years to get permits in place before construction can start. There were no permits issued for 30 year AFAIK, and now, there are ~ 12 projects in planning stages. I am going off the top of my head.

So Bush has done more for the environment than any president in recent history.
