I'm sure Mao had some. Hitler liked animals and was a vegetarian, and he had a huge interest in health- I've always thought those were positive things. I bet Mao had lots of positive qualities- they just didn't happen to be qualities that made his governance of China compassionate or just.

I thought this was interesting. He thinks that China will always venerate Mao as the man who unified China and drove out foreign oppressors. That bit about naive US policy has some resonance for today, imo, and our bumbling in the ME.

I did a search on google for postive Mao qualities. I got a lot of hits.

Huh? Did Mao vote for Hillary, too? I don't get it. When did I equate anyone with Mao?

Is this really was passes for intelligent and civil discourse here in the "center"? I thought this was a discussion about the food industry. Guess not.

Oh, wait. Didn't Mao socialize food production and distribution in some big country, leading to millions of deaths. I see the connection now. No, I don't think Hillary is equivalent to Mao. Happy now?
