but you can also make the argument that a lot more lawsuits and a lot more regulation could do a lot to protect people.

You could but I'm not sure that it could be a very strong one.

The point I was arguing is that by one way or the other you absolutely have to have some way of protecting people.

And my point is that you could reign in both regulation and lawsuits and still have people protected pretty much as well as they are now.
