>>>I have no idea when we as a nation started voting for people "just like joe schmo who lives next door". Its a recipe for disaster as we have seen.<<<

Go back and read the Federalist Papers. Those old Dead White European Males who are revered as being soooooo democratic, hardly wanted to give the vote to the common man. They wanted voters to have some skin in the game....and some education.

I am considering temporarily changing my residence to Pennsylvania to vote against Hillary (not for Obama) in the Pennsylvania primary. I Googled some key words, and ended up on Obama's website.

Take a look at this and be scared:

Sorry - can't find link, but.......

The Obama website was urging ex convicts to get out and vote, and explaining their rights. I guess that there is nothing wrong with that. If one has served one's time. But....it is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. It indicates a sense of desperation or willingness to get votes any way possible. I read an article the other day which reported that 1% of our population was behind bars. Obama seems eager to get that 1% of the vote. I am sure that Hillary has been there before him. Probably lavished most of that $5 million of her own dough on the ex cons.

'Bill Clinton was someone of high intellectual capacity who could successfully talk to the masses. So it can be done'

'Reagan was another one, he represented a value system from another time that people wanted to return to, that had been lost in the 70s'

We for sure need someone with qualities of the above today..Folks shooting for the stars hope Obama is that person..Hillary for sure would be the safest for the economy, for business... once she gets in office, something the far right fails to every grasp.. I sleep in peace as anyone will be so far superior to the cowboys in office today, even McCain..
