It occurs to me that no one has heard from Gore. I think his endorsement will be critical.

I am a conservative who will reluctantly vote for McCain.

If alGore enters the scene it will make my vote for McCain easier. So in that sense his endorsement is critical to me.

I think Gore's afraid of making a mistake with his endorsement.
He endorsed Dean last time, as you might recall.

I doubt he'd want to stand with Kerry in favor of Obama.
At the same time, Hillary couldn't be high on his list of fav persons.

He may be busy redesigning the Internet to run cooler on less power.

He is very busy preparing his next power point docudrama, "Why I Supported Howard Dean in 2004 and Still Believe He is the Best Choice as President". ;-)

Gore is having a good time. He is famous, liked by millions, rich... He is seen as an elder statesman - and he didn't have to work hard to get there. Could be that the potential embarrassment of backing the "wrong" candidate may cost him more that any advantage he may possibly derive from backing the winner.

Right now, it is as if he is above the political frey - he has bigger fish to fry, like saving the planet for all future generations. It's a hard job, but someone has to do it.
