As long as they are not giving out bad loans it isn't a problem. Then again, if the lenders hadn't given out all those bad loans in the past we wouldn't have had a bubble, and wouldn't be in the mess we are in.

This is different that the system of mortgage giving and securitization that was in place this last decade. That system was a dismal failure for everyone except the people pocketing commissions and bonuses.
