Sam - The Anti NAFTA pander at the Cleveland debate is the best example of telling people what the "want to hear". That more than anything else has dimmed my opinion of Barack. I must say - while a staunch Republican I root for him in the primaries to win. He is definitely a likeable candidate - while empty on policy - I see little difference between him and Hillary - except that Hillary would guarantee four more years of cotentious politics across the nation.

Well that specific speech does have a few positive comments. But they are also placed with other misleading comments.

Other than the pure hard sacrifices of driving less and doing it in much smaller vehicles, if this is part of what he is saying. The proposals Obama promotes are what people want to hear, some hopeful technology is going to be employed to reduce oil consumption and carbon emissions.

Detroits problems are all because if stupid management in the Big 3 and the unions. Again using kid gloves on them.
