Dale,

I looked over CNN's site and couldn't find the polling data so I went hunting around the internet. It is possible I mixed them up but I thought I was paying close attention since that has been an issue here.

I found this rasmussen polling data on the candidates negatives and it doesn't look like a big difference between them. It does look like McCain got a boost by being the defacto nominee so it will be interesting to see the flux in his numbers, while Clintons negatives have been about the same and Obama's look like they have been on an uptrend.

The Gallup numbers from the end of Feb show McCain in pretty much a dead heat against both Obama and Clinton

McCain wins the experience question according to gallop against both clinton and obama

This Zogby poll gives McCain the nod on handling Iraq, Clinton the economy and McCain and Obama as leaders

So you can find polls that say a lot of things all around. I would rather wait and see who the actual nominees are and see how the two left standing stack up against each other.
