Correct. People will always eat and besides there could be the occasional bad harvest or the price low enough to produce ethanol.

But ask commodity traders and they see the recent volatility as totally unhealthy and a clear sign of a reversal.

As you say and if physical stuff gets hard to move at these moonshot prices the futures markets lack fundamental justification, just my 2c.

The tape didnt lie, there was lot of downside in various commodities. Interestingly ag unlocked but metals came under the hammer.
