With a democratic congress all that needs to be done is pass laws with votes - not judges. Far too simple a proposition. The legislature can pass all sorts of necessary laws, say, for instance campaign finance reform, but the SC makes one of the oddest decisions ever done, close to the Bush-Gore decision, in which money is equated with speech. No, we need judges who will address todays conditions within the spirit of the constitution; not some hairbrained fundamentalist interpretation. Intent of the founders, indeed. As if that were knowable.
