We should all be aware that true wealth lies not in piles of money but to have or earn just enough so that we are able to comfortably and securely do as we please. Most excellent.. point..

C2, all my life I have enjoyed puttering and playing and when free to do so, have created a LOT more value than when I was nose to the grindstone doing "real" work on the corporate production line.

My skills in plumbing, electrical work etc were developed as economic necessity as I could save significant money by DIY at night while others attended the pub.

Happily, I got to a position of sufficient financial independence nearly 20 years ago, while young enough to do a lot of tinkering, thinking, puttering, putting and playing without having to answer to an annoying and stupid boss requiring ridiculous things to be done.

It baffles me that most people fritter away their efforts in their younger days, which then leaves them trapped on the production line rather than enjoying the fruits of their savings and investments.

My fun is creating value. Sometimes by way of helping Hayes and Liela [7 months] figure out the world, but also by playing Zenbu, Manabars, RoamAD, Globalstar, Qualcomm, Qi, and getting my GSRS [TM] off the ground. Plus the rest of the list.
