Every time I consider a second home in a warm climate I'm stopped by the fact that I can rent a nice place on a monthly basis for a few thousand $'s. Plus which I am not obligated to one place, nor do I have the upkeep concerns. Why tie up a lot of money for that proposition?

Last time I was there I drove over some winding overpass that was 1/2 mile in the air. A queasy feeling to say the least. Whose idea was that?
