Who told you they only last 20 years?

The manufacturers that peddle them - also that's with no provision for any maintenance or unexpected tree limbs.

PS: With oil prices going to new highs - you'd think these alternatives would be viable sooner than later. In the past I always read about plans to make oil higher (via taxes) and force the change - well - now we have it, so where are the peddlers of alternatives?
