If Obama takes just under half the remaining pledged delegates, he ends up 150 superdels away from the nomination, and a full 100 pledged delegates ahead of Hillary.

For the party to screw him out of the nomination at that point would leave a lot of blood on the floor.

If the delegate count prevails, I would then put the percentage chance of Hillary being offered and/or accepting the VP slot in the single digits. Obama doesn't need to take on someone with such high negatives and potential for controversy when there are experienced stalwarts like Richardson around.
