Gay website outings have a high accuracy rate. In fact I can't think of one they've been wrong about, though I'm sure their record is not perfect. The fact is that the gay community is a small insular world. They go to their own parties and clubs and they gossip a lot. They also have something called "gaydar", which means they recognize their own kind. So they know things the rest of us don't, and a huge and shocking number of rightwing politicians and pundits have been outed by the gays themselves. I say they have credibility though obviously I cannot prove it.
