Name one honest conservative amongst the Bushie elite. You can't. They are all proven liars, partisan hacks, crooks and even traitors. This is proven. So why should any of respect any of them regardless of their political stripe? A crook is a crook. Honest conservatives like Powell, Whitman and O'Neill were forced out when they tried to speak up, as were many honest Generals and other officals. Chuck Hagel was lambasted for telling the truth about Iraq. Even McCain to some degree was demonized for wanting to limit corporate corruption (though he apparenbtly has his own problems in that area).
