As I said.. I won't shed a tear. In fact I'm rooting for him to resign so that I can up Obama's delegate count by one. :)

He was stupid to do what he did so he deserves the punishment.

My understanding is that they are going after him not because of the sex (after all she was a prostitute) but because of the way he tried to conceal the payment to her. That's the gist from the little bit I read. An obscure statute called "structuring". Structuring involves creating a series of financial movements designed to obscure the true purpose of the payments.
