AS, adultery is a horrible offense against another lover. It must be very painful, that is why God chose it to be one of the 10 Commandments. You are not one to judge it, but you have admitted to be guilty of it and of course, you hurt your ex-wife. Spitzer may be guilty of several crimes. Stop supporting these people that you have never met, but support because they belong to your political party. That is stupid.
