>>All I can tell you is that Obama is delusional if he thinks he will actully win when push comes to shove. Best thing for his political career and a real path to the WHite House for him would be to team up with HC. His ego is now in the way of his dream.<<

$Mogul -

His ego is in the way of his dream? So you think that the candidate who is leading in both delegates and the popular vote should simply give up and try for VP? Doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States.

Of course, I could be wrong, but that's my prediction at this moment.

I will go further to say that if I am correct, he will not be a perfect president, and not everyone will like the way he governs. I believe it was Neal who said Obama would not be able to "waltz in" and magically change the way Washington does business through sheer force of will. I certainly don't know anyone who thinks that he can, nor have I ever heard anyone say that he could.

What he will do, though, will be to make an effort in that direction. He will lead by example, and he will be able to make a bit of a difference. And that will be fine with me.

I think he should team up with Hillary as his VP (a thought not too many people like). She will be an excellent surrogate to give some hard punches to team McCain which other Dems don't have constitution for. Further the convention will force them to team up (which order is yet to be determined)
