This bailout and steepening yield curve without taking it way too far down on fed funds might disproportionately benefit much of the real economy not impacted by the recent housing/credit/energy bubbles or misallocations of capital. A 1970's stagflation takes us on a totally different course but most of our main trading partners now have inverted yield curves and need to cut in a major way...Dollar could now actually stabilize for a while and the real economy boom again?
