The Mann Act is about as relevant as the old laws against sodomy. They are only relevant in cases of kidnappings of minors. To push the Mann Act as some sort of nefarious "crime" is ridiculous. You're probably guilty of it yourself. Ever called a hooker in LA and told her to meet you in Vegas? If not, a lot of guys have. And there's nothing particular wrong with it, unless you're married and that's just a personal ethics issue.

There is one big question now to the SPitzer case: who set him up and why only him? Until all the other callgirl clients names are made public, including all the top Republicans who used that service, likely this is a GOP political hit job, pure and simple. And that's a gross abuse of power.

It also calls into question Bush's push for illegal domestic spying. What's to stop a corrupt president from using that to blackmail anyone he wants? Or destroying their careers merely for partisan advantage?
